About Us
We Are On A Mission To
Help Native Americans
Society of Indian Missions was born in 1951 when God placed a call on the heart of Raymond Montour to establish mission churches and see Native workers raised up. Because of his vision to promote missionary work, to encourage Native leadership, and to provide a channel through which many can have a part in Indian missions, the work of SIM continues to the present.
In our 70+ years of existence, SIM has ministered across the United States and Canada among various Native American tribes, including the Sioux, Navajo, Pueblo, Hopi, Winnebago, Stoney, Cree, Chippewa, Athabaskan, Saulteaux, and Metis. Our Board of Directors has included members of 7 different Native American tribes.
